2023 Domaine Billard “Les Justices”
Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Blanc
From chalk-rich slopes near La Rochepot, this luminous Chardonnay captures both freshness and depth. Aromas of lemon, peach, and white flowers lead into a creamy mid-palate layered with citrus and orchard fruit. Lees aging adds subtle hazelnut tones and a persistent mineral finish. A balanced wine that showcases the charm of the Hautes-Côtes.
Pairing: A good choice for halibut or crab cakes, or butternut squash risotto. The crispness refreshes, while the creamy mid-palate harmonizes with richer winter dishes.
2023 Thomas-Labaille “Les Monts Damnés” Sancerre
From vines on the famed Les Monts Damnés hillside in Chavignol, this is a benchmark Sancerre of striking energy and precision. The 2023 vintage opens with aromas of pear, quince, kiwi, citrus, lime-flower and stone in this quite-good vintage in Sancerre. The palate is brisk and citrusy, with hints of pear, and almond, finishing with firm acidity and bright lemony fruit. Vibrant now, and really shows its nuance with a gentle decanting.
Pairing: Ideal for Dungeness crab or oysters on the half shell. Also exceptional with roast turkey and citrus-herb gravy or asparagus with hollandaise.
2022 Domaine de Roally Viré-Clessé
From the Thévenet family, this organically farmed Viré-Clessé ranks among the finest wines of the Mâconnais. Made from late-harvested old-vine Chardonnay, the 2022 shows vibrant acidity and steely minerality balanced by flavors of yellow apple and saline. Very dry with vibrant acidity, the finish of this wine lingers like a midwest goodbye. Delicious now yet structured to age a decade or more. Wines of this quality from more prestigious parts of Bourgogne go for five or six times this price. One of our favorite white wines in the entire store.
Pairing: Excellent with herb-roasted turkey, especially alongside sage stuffing and buttery mashed potatoes. Its lively acidity cuts through richness.

Sparkling / Champagne / Bubbles
A joyous, fruit-driven sparkler from the foothills of the Pyrenees. Jean-Louis Denois blends Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and a touch of Syrah to create a wine with fine bubbles, almond and dried red-berry notes, and surprising depth for the price. Crisp, clean, and thoroughly charming.
Pairing: A versatile sparkling for Thanksgiving appetizers, from deviled eggs to baked brie with cranberry chutney. Also complements brunch dishes like quiche or yeasted waffles.
NV Liébart-Régnier “Les Sols Bruns” Brut
A generous grower Champagne from La Vallée de la Marne, built on Meunier with supporting Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The palate is round and toasty, with red-fruit lift, brioche richness, and citrus zest. Friendly but refined, it bridges aperitif and main course with grace.
Pairing: Wonderful with roast chicken, honey-glazed ham, or fried turkey. The bright bubbles and creamy texture cut through fat beautifully.
NV Jean Vesselle Champagne Brut Réserve
From the Grand Cru village of Bouzy, Jean Vesselle crafts a Pinot Noir-dominant Champagne of depth and precision. Red-berry fruit, green apple, and brioche notes unfold over a creamy, finely balanced palate. This small grower’s cuvée rivals the best in elegance and aging potential.
Pairing: Great companion for smoked salmon, or serve at dinner with roast turkey and cranberries. Also sublime with triple cream cheeses after the meal.

2021 Castello Monterinaldi Chianti Classico
A lively Sangiovese-based Chianti with sour cherry, plum, dried herbs, and floral notes on a medium-bodied frame, backed by brisk acidity and fine tannins. A classic, food-friendly Tuscan red for pasta ragù, grilled lamb, or pizza with aged cheese.
2012 Domaine Chante-Alouette-Cormeil Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
This organically farmed, Merlot-led Saint-Émilion is at peak maturity, with dried plum, fig, cedar, and graphite on a supple, medium-bodied palate and silky, cocoa-tinged tannins. A classic Right-Bank Bordeaux for roast lamb, duck confit, or wild-mushroom stuffing with dark turkey meat.
2017 Prà “Morandina”
Amarone della Valpolicella
Rich yet poised, this Amarone from partially dried Corvina and friends layers dried cherry, plum, cocoa, and spice over a velvety texture, with a hint of balsamic lift and a long, bittersweet finish. A natural match for roast beef, prime rib, or venison stew.
