Marchesi Di San Giuliano: The Finest Citrus Jam In The World!
If there’s a better citrus jam out there, we haven’t tasted it. Every jar is a testament to San Giuliano’s centuries of Sicilian citrus expertise. The estate sits in the foothills of Mount Etna, known for its fertile soil, where they grow top-quality citrus fruits. They prepare all their jam by hand in small batches on the San Giuliano estate, using simple family recipes. Workers hand-slice fresh organic fruit and cook it slowly with cane sugar. They never add thickeners or preservatives.
Here are two of our favorites:
Sicilian Red Grapefruit Marmalade is sweet and tangy with a clean, bright flavor. Tender slices of aromatic grapefruit add to the texture and lend a pleasant bitterness. It’s excellent on toast with creamy butter, as a topping for ice cream, or swirled into yogurt.
Sicilian Bitter Orange Marmalade uses the Arancia Rossa di Sicilia, the blood orange of Sicily. Its bright crimson flesh is both tart and sweet. Try it on bread or with fresh chèvre.
