Fair warning: with school lunches this good, you’ll want to order extra for yourself!
After a year like no other, it’s so good to see school buses on our streets and children squealing with laughter on the playground. But for some of us on the parenting side of the equation, the routine of getting kids off in the morning makes us feel, well, like rookies. Haven’t we done this before? Why do mornings suddenly seem so busy? After a year off, have I really forgotten how to pack a school lunch?

If you’re feeling pressed for time or ideas, we’re here to help. Same-day delivery is available in the Seattle area if you order by noon; otherwise your order will arrive the following day. Thinly sliced prosciutto is a rare treat. Or maybe your kid prefers salami? Buttered baguettes?

Below are four of our favorite quick-to-prepare lunch sandwiches and a few sides our kids love (and us adults, too). 

Sandwiches
•   Zoe’s turkey, pesto, tomato slices, lettuce, Macrina Rustic Potato Loaf.
•   Prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, Dalmatia Fig Spread, Macrina Ficelle.
•   Mortadella, fresh mozzarella, dash of olive oil, Giuseppe Panini Roll.
•   Tuna, Mama Lil’s Mayo (minced Mama Lil’s, a little of the oil from the jar, mayo), sliced tomatoes, medium cheddar, Macrina Rustic Potato Loaf. Serve as a sandwich, or serve it open-face and melt the cheese under the broiler.
